The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed as false the widely circulated reports suggesting that serving members of the National Assembly under its platform will automatically receive the party’s tickets for the 2027 general elections.

In a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja, the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Felix Morka, categorically denied the claims, describing the report as “fake news” with no basis in fact.

“The attention of the APC has been drawn to a purported breaking news report titled, ‘APC Grants Automatic Tickets to All National Assembly Members,’ currently making the rounds on social media and some online platforms,” Morka said.

“We wish to state clearly and unequivocally that the report is entirely false, fabricated, and did not emanate from our great party,” he emphasized.

Morka urged party members, stakeholders, and the general public to disregard the report, warning that it was the work of mischief-makers bent on creating confusion within the party.

“Our party remains committed to its democratic ideals, and decisions regarding candidacies and party primaries will be made in accordance with the party’s constitution, guidelines, and established processes,” he added.

The APC’s clarification comes amid rising political speculation ahead of the 2027 general elections, with many parties already grappling with internal alignments and strategic planning.
