Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family and the medical community over the passing of Dr. Habibu Sadauki, who died yesterday following an illness.
This was contained in a statement made available to the press by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, in Kano.
Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf described the death of Dr. Habibu Sadauki as a monumental loss, given his significant contributions to the development of healthcare services in Kano State, Nigeria, and beyond.
He also highlighted the deceased’s impact on healthcare policy as a former Executive Secretary of the Kano State Hospitals Management Board and immediate past president of the Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics of Nigeria (SOGON).
“We received with the deepest shock the news of the death of Dr Sadauki, a medical practitioner of international repute who impacted the lives of many women as an experienced and dedicated gynaecologist.”
“On behalf of the government and the good people of Kano State, I extend my condolences to his family and the medical community. May Allah SWT grant him eternal rest, and may Jannatul Firdausi be his final abode,” the governor prayed.
