The Coalition of Shiroro Association (COSA) has embarked on a strategic familiarization and solidarity tour across several security formations in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
Led by its Chairman, Usman Ibrahim Kuta, the COSA delegation visited Area Commands of the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the State Security Services (SSS) in the communities of Kuta, Gwada, Zumba, and Erena.
During the visits, COSA expressed deep appreciation for the courage and sacrifices of security personnel working under challenging conditions to safeguard lives and property in the region.
The engagements also featured meaningful dialogue between COSA representatives and heads of the security formations, focusing on collaborative approaches to enhancing internal security. Key areas discussed included community-based intelligence sharing, joint security planning, and building mutual trust between local residents and security operatives.
As part of the visit, COSA donated critical office supplies and documentation materials to each of the security agencies, demonstrating its support and commitment to a safer and more secure Shiroro.
Speaking on behalf of the association, Comrade Kuta reaffirmed COSA’s readiness to work closely with security stakeholders to address the persistent threats facing Shiroro communities.
“This gesture is not just symbolic; it reflects our shared responsibility to confront insecurity and build lasting peace,” he said.
The association emphasized that peace and development can only be achieved through continued partnership between the people and those tasked with protecting them.
