By Uthman Baba-Sirajdeen, Minna – June 30, 2025: The Chief Judge of Niger State, Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik, has announced that the High Court of the Judiciary will proceed on its 2025 annual vacation starting Monday, July 28, with court activities set to resume on Monday, September 8, 2025.

This was disclosed in a circular dated June 17, 2025, addressed to all judges of the Niger State High Court. Justice Abdulmalik cited Order 45 Rule 4(d) of the High Court Civil Procedure Rules, 2018, which empowers her to determine the dates for the annual judicial break.

“I hereby declare that the Court will proceed on Annual Vacation beginning from Monday, July 28th to Sunday, September 7th, 2025,” the Chief Judge stated. “The Court will resume for the New Legal Year on Monday, September 8th, 2025.”

Justice Abdulmalik also extended her best wishes to fellow judges across the state, expressing hopes for “a very restful and most rewarding vacation.”

While the vacation is meant to offer judges time for rest and reflection, Justice Aisha Wodu Bawa of the Suleja Division has been appointed as the vacation judge. She will be on standby throughout the period to handle urgent or emergency cases requiring immediate judicial attention.
