represented by his Chief of Staff, Shehu Wada Sagagi, Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and empowering Kano’s youth.
“When we launched the 1001 Scholarship Scheme, our vision was to empower Kano’s brightest minds to compete globally, excel in their fields, and bring their expertise back home to drive the progress of our state,” he said.
“Today’s event reaffirms our dedication to providing world-class educational opportunities for our youth.”
Governor Yusuf assured that the programme would be transparent, inclusive, and free of political bias.
He emphasized education as a critical investment for Kano’s future and pledged sustained financial support and equitable selection processes to ensure the programme’s success.
The newly inaugurated committee, chaired by the State Commissioner for Higher Education, Dr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kofarmata, was tasked with ensuring the programme’s smooth implementation.
