Gloria Guevara, a globally recognized leader in travel and tourism, has garnered strong backing from over 100 industry leaders in her bid to become the next Secretary-General of UN Tourism. Her campaign, centered on creating “a new era for tourism,” prioritizes empowering local communities, driving innovation, and fostering sustainable growth.
A former Tourism Minister of Mexico, ex-President and CEO of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), and most recently Chief Special Adviser to Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Tourism, Guevara brings over 35 years of experience in both public and private sectors. Her leadership has been pivotal in crisis recovery, technological advancements, and positioning tourism as a driver of economic and social progress.
