GAMA awards holds Nov. 25 – Organizers

The Global Affairs Magazine Awards (GAMA) has been slated to hold November 25 to honour outstanding individuals “Achievers of Excellence” in their various fields of endeavour.

Regina Robinson, Convener of the awards, disclosed this in a statement, in Lagos on Saturday.

Robinson said that the awards ,which would be held the Alvan Ikoku Hall , Radisson Blu Hotel ,promised to be full of fun, glitz, glamour, laughter and great music.

She noted that the theme of the event is ‘A Channel Of Hope Where There Is Despair”.

According to her, the keynote speakers are: Mr Madu Chikwendu and Dr Bala Abraham and that the event will be compered by Koffi Tha Guru.

“The Global Affairs Magazine will roll out the red carpet on Saturday 25th of November in celebration of men and women who have distinguished themselves as achievers of excellence in their various fields of endeavors.

“And those who have touched lives through their philanthropic activities.

“Former governor of Anambra state and presidential candidate of the Labour Party in February 25 presidential election, Mr. Peter Obi will be honoured as the ‘Best Politician Of The Year’.

“Pastor Evelyn Joshua will be honoured as the ‘Most Prominent Female Pastor In The World’, Dr DK Olukoya, Dr Tony Elumelu, Allen Onyema, Dr Akintoye Akindele, Dr Elizabeth Jack-Rich, amongst other prominent personalities, will be honoured with ‘Lifetime Achievement Award For Service To Humanity’,” she said.

Robinson noted that famous flautist, Dr Omatshola Iseli, popularly known as “Tee Mac”will give one of his rare performances.

She said seasoned technocrat and former gubernatorial candidate of Lagos state, Dr. Segun Musa will chair the award.

“Also, popular Arise TV presenter, Oseni RUFAI, will be honoured as ‘The Most Courageous TV Host Of The Year’.

“Captains of Industries and the creme de la creme in Nigeria are expected at this annual celebration of integrity, hard work, humanitarian service,” she said.
