Foundation donates 3,000 books, uniforms to orphans, indigent students in Sokoto

The Balarabe Goronyo Foundation based in Sokoto has donated 3,000 exercise books and 150 sets of uniforms to some orphans and other indigent students in Sokoto.

The foundation seeks to empower indigent students to pursue their studies at all levels so as to enable them be useful to themselves and the society.

It also routinely conducts free medical outreaches for indigent patients across Sokoto metrolois and it’s environs.

It provided free drugs and medical galses to the hundreds of beneficiaries, the foundation sponsored to some patients with eye ailments who needed surgeries.

The foundation had in the most recent past doled out school uniforms and other related educational items to some less privileged pupils.

The areas covered by the most recent invaluable gesture by the foundation were: Kofar Bai, Galadanci, part of Gidadawa and Kofar Rini, among others, all in Sokoto metropolis.

No fewer than 3,000 exercise books were doled out to the benefiting students to enable them have relative ease in their studies.

Speaking during the distribution of the books, a representative of the family, Junaidu Aliyu Balarabe said that the family was happy to give back to the society.

Junaidu Aliyu Balarabe said,” this noble gesture is our way of ensuring that poverty does not truncate the education of any indigent or vulnerable student.

“Education is very crucial to improving the socioeconomic status of the citizens, as such, the beneficiaries will be empapered to have a guaranteed bright future.

“No nation can rise above the level of its own educational system and our family is very concious of this.

“Hence,we we are determined to help these beneficiaries to have quality
education.”

Junaidu Aliyu, therefore, passionately appealed to other wealthy individuals, families and groups to emulate the gesture with a bolstering the education sector in the country.
