Nigeria on Friday in New York signed a Protocol of Cooperation with the Republic of Bulgaria. The signing ceremony was performed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, and his Bulgarian counterpart, Nikolay Milkow. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed four persons dead and 10 others with varying degrees of injuries in a lone accident in Zanchita village on Bida – Kutigi Road, Bida LGA of Niger. Mr Kumar Tsukwam, FRSC Sector Commander in the state, said in Minna on Sunday that the crash involved a commercial bus with registration number BNK 342 XA conveying 14 passengers. The Hydro Electric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC) has begun the distribution of relief materials to victims of the recent flooding in Niger. The commission also released N15 million to over 8,000 affected households. Abubakar Yelwa, Managing Director of HYPPADEC, started the distribution at New Ketso resettlement site in Mokwa local government area on Sunday.
