The Police Commissioner in Borno, Mr Abdu Umar has said that 389 policemen paid the supreme price and 450 others injured in the fight against Boko Haram insurgency from 2011 to date. He said that over 24 police barracks and 30 stations razed or destroyed, while several fighting equipments carted away or destroyed by the terrorists. Bandits in the early hours of Sunday, invaded two communities in Lapai local government area of Niger state, killed 15 farmers and abducted many others. The bandits, who reportedly invaded Ebbo and Evuti communities on 75 motorcycles with each carrying three passengers, started shooting sporadically resulting in the death of killing of 15 people.
