Trade experts on Wednesday validated Nigeria’s implementation strategies for success under the Africa Continental Free Trade Area Agreement (AfCFTA). The National Judicial Council (NJC) has ordered the immediate reinstatement of Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia as a judge of the Federal High Court (FHC). This was made known in a circular issued by the Chief Judge of FHC, Justice John Tsoho, on Dec. 5 notifying judges of the court about the development. The Nigeria Customs Service, Ogun 1 Area Command, says it has seized goods worth N4.88 billion between February and December 6 in the state. The Area Comptroller, Bamidele Makinde, made this known during a press conference in Idiroko, Ogun, on Wednesday. Makinde said that the command, during the period under review, recorded a total of 842 seizures, which included 44,933 bags of smuggled foreign parboiled rice of 50kg each, equivalent of 73 trailer loads.
