Development advocate and APC Yobe State governorship aspirant for the 2027 general elections, Kashim Musa Tumsah (MFR), has completed the registration of over 500 students for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The sponsorship, facilitated under the KMT JAMB Sponsorship Programme, covers the full cost of registration for the beneficiaries. The initiative is part of Tumsah’s routine annual intervention aimed at supporting eligible students preparing for the examination.
According to the head of Tumsah’s media team, Abubakar Ahmed, the beneficiaries, mostly students from underprivileged backgrounds, were randomly selected from the 178 wards across the 17 local government areas of Yobe State. Their JAMB registration fees were fully paid under the scheme.
The programme is designed to boost educational standards in the state by expanding access to tertiary education opportunities. While it provides equal consideration to both male and female students, special emphasis is placed on female students, many of whom are unable to further their education after secondary school due to socio-economic constraints.
In addition to paying the examination fees, the initiative also provides intensive preparatory training for the beneficiaries at designated centres across the state to ensure they are adequately equipped for the examination.
