The North Central Development Commission (NCDC) has issued a public disclaimer warning Nigerians against the unauthorized use of its corporate name, logo, address, email, and institutional identity by individuals and groups posing as the Commission.

In a statement signed by the Executive Director of Corporate Services, James Abel Uloko, the Commission said it had discovered misleading claims by impostors operating under names and digital platforms closely resembling that of the NCDC.

The Commission clarified that it was lawfully established by an Act of 2024, with its Board duly constituted in 2025, and stressed that it has no affiliation or operational relationship with any individual or entity using similar names or fake contact details.

It specifically disowned websites and email addresses such as www.ncdc-gov.com and info@ncdc-gov.com, describing them as fraudulent.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the official Head Office of the North Central Development Commission is located at 15, Muhammadu Buhari Way, Lafia, Nasarawa State,” the statement said.

The NCDC further clarified that it does not operate from the World Trade Center Complex in Abuja or any other unauthorized location. It noted that its temporary Abuja operations are conducted from the Nasarawa State Liaison Office at the Blue Springs Hotel Building, Central Area, Abuja, a facility donated by the Nasarawa State Government.

The Commission urged members of the public, government agencies, development partners, and other stakeholders to exercise caution and ensure that all communications or transactions purportedly linked to the NCDC are verified through officially recognized channels and designated offices.

It also disassociated itself from any actions, representations, claims, or commitments made by unauthorized persons, warning that it would not be liable for any loss or damage arising from dealings with such individuals or groups.

According to the statement, the NCDC has commenced appropriate actions through relevant authorities to address the impersonation and protect the public from further deception.

The Commission said the notice was issued in the interest of public awareness and protection, while expressing regret over any inconvenience the situation may have caused.
