By Usman Mohammed Binji II A new chapter unfolded for mobility and logistics provider Amana Rides Nigeria Limited on Thursday as the company officially opened its new corporate head office in Sokoto, marking a significant milestone in its expanding footprint across the state.

The unveiling ceremony, held at No. 1 Marmaron Nufawa, off Western Bypass near Bafarawa Flour Mills, brought together stakeholders, business leaders, and members of the public who gathered to witness the company’s progress and its growing role in local development.

In a moment that blended official duty with personal reflection, Sokoto State Deputy Governor Idris Muhammad Gobir described the new facility as a timely investment that aligns with the state’s push for economic advancement. He commended Amana Rides for its vision and emphasized the importance of private-sector contributions in building stronger communities.

Gobir also highlighted the broader impact of Vice Chancellor of Iconic University, Dr. Shadi Sabeh—who is also the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Amana Rides—whose work in the education sector has touched thousands of lives. From establishing nursery, primary, and secondary schools to founding Iconic University, now registered by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and fully operational, Dr. Sabeh has built a legacy that extends beyond business.

“These are the kinds of contributions that shape societies,” Gobir said. “They represent what we expect from individuals blessed with the means and the will to give back.”

In his remarks, Dr. Sabeh explained that Amana Rides was founded to provide safe, reliable mobility while creating opportunities for young people. He noted that all company drivers—across tricycles, buses, and motorcycles—underwent comprehensive training by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Islamic clerics, and other partners to ensure safety, discipline, and transparency.

He added that the company’s services go beyond taxi operations, with expanded delivery and logistics offerings designed to support households, small businesses, and corporate clients across the state.

With the inauguration of the new head office, Amana Rides signals its readiness for wider service delivery, stronger community engagement, and sustained growth driven by professionalism and social responsibility.
