A high-powered delegation from the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko at his Asokoro residence in Abuja, in a gesture of appreciation and solidarity.

The delegation, comprising members of the Forum’s Board of Trustees (BOT) and National Executive Committee (NEC), was led by the Chairman of the BOT, Bashir Dalhatu (Wazirin Dutse).

In his remarks, Dalhatu expressed the Forum’s deep appreciation for Senator Wamakko’s steadfast support and immense contributions to the progress and unity of Northern Nigeria and the nation as a whole. He noted that Wamakko’s leadership legacy—both as former Governor of Sokoto State and as a serving Senator—continues to inspire development-oriented initiatives across the region.

The delegation also briefed Wamakko on the Forum’s ongoing preparations for its forthcoming 25th anniversary celebration. They recalled his pivotal role in the ACF’s past milestones, particularly his chairmanship of the organizing committee for the Forum’s 20th anniversary in 2020, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In his response, Senator Wamakko thanked the delegation for the visit and reaffirmed his commitment to the ACF’s ideals of promoting unity, peace, and progress in Northern Nigeria.

The visiting team included several prominent ACF leaders, among them Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu (Wazirin Dutse), Mr. Mamman Mike Osama, SAN, Alhaji Murtala Aliyu (Matawalle Gombe), Alhaji Ibrahim Mai Sule (Turakin Bade), Senator Ibrahim Ida (Wazirin Katsina), Alhaji Nasiru Isah (Wamban Kebe), Alhaji Ibrahim Sidi Bamalli, and Alhaji Ado Adatti Bamalli.
