Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has signed into law the revised 2025 Appropriation Bill of N43.29 billion, earlier passed by the State House of Assembly.
The governor assented to the bill on Thursday at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, in the presence of the Speaker, Usman Muhammad-Zuru, and other lawmakers.
Idris commended the assembly for its cooperation with the executive, describing the cordial relationship as beneficial to the people.
“I appreciate the House of Assembly for being alive to its responsibilities and working closely with the executive for the betterment of our people. Since the inception of this administration, we have never had any disagreement. Everything we present undergoes thorough scrutiny and the required legislative processes. This shows the assembly’s commitment to doing a clean job for the state,” he said.
On his part, Muhammad-Zuru pledged the assembly’s continued partnership with the executive in advancing development, explaining that the revised bill was passed after exhaustive deliberations to align with prevailing fiscal realities and priorities.
“The House, after due consideration, forwarded the revised 2025 appropriation bill of N43.29 billion to the governor for assent in line with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution (as amended),” he noted.
The Speaker also recalled that during plenary, the House adopted a motion by Hashimu Usman (Yauri–APC), urging the government to rename the newly constructed Government Girls’ Secondary School, Tsamiya, Tundi, Yauri LGA, after the Emir of Yauri, Dr Muhammad Zayyanu-Abdullahi.
The school will henceforth be known as Sarki Muhammad Zayyanu-Abdullahi Girls’ Secondary School, Tsamiya, Tundi, Yauri LGA.
