Sheroes Rising for Development Initiative has launched the Visibility Series for Women Leaders, a groundbreaking campaign to amplify and celebrate women leaders across various fields. The 30-day series aims to boost women’s visibility, showcasing their achievements and strengthening their leadership influence across media platforms.

In a video statement, Sheroes Rising emphasized the ongoing gender gap in news media, where women make up only 26% of news subjects and sources despite decades of global advocacy since the 1995 Beijing Declaration. This campaign addresses the need for greater gender inclusion and representation by profiling one woman leader each month, sharing her story widely through digital and traditional media.

The initiative not only highlights women’s contributions but also seeks to enhance their online presence and brand, positioning them for more significant opportunities. Sheroes Rising described the series as a “game changer” for women leaders whose stories can inspire others.

Public nominations and applications are open for women with leadership impact, talent, or compelling stories to participate. The organization views the campaign as an important step toward closing the gender inequality gap and promoting women’s rights and leadership.

Sheroes Rising for Development Initiative is a gender advocacy media platform dedicated to storytelling that drives social change. As the organization declares, “There is nothing more precious than a movement that empowers women to take their rightful place in history and society.” Together, the initiative aims to create a ripple effect that reshapes women’s narratives globally.
