Tajudeen A Tijjani’s article, “Uba Sani and the paradox box” is a masterclass in hypocrisy and doublespeak. The writer pretends to be neutral while peddling a narrative that reeks of bias and misinformation. It’s a shame that such a piece would seek to obfuscate the truth and confuse the public.

Let’s set the record straight: Governor Uba Sani’s move to investigate the loans obtained by his predecessor, Nasiru Ahmed Elrufai, is a courageous step towards transparency and accountability. It’s not a “political hara-kiri” or a “Pandora’s box” as the writer sensationalistically puts it. Rather, it’s a necessary step to ensure that the people of Kaduna State know how their resources have been managed.
The writer’s attempt to downplay the loan issue by saying “obtaining loans is part of governance” is a weak defense. The real question is: what were the loans used for, and were they used judiciously? The people of Kaduna State deserve answers, and Governor Uba Sani is right to demand them.
The writer’s claim that the assembly panel will “come to nothing” and “waste money” is a baseless prediction. The panel’s investigation is a necessary step towards unraveling the truth. And as for the writer’s suggestion that the ICPC or EFCC should handle the investigation, that’s a red herring. The state assembly has every right to conduct its own investigation and hold the executive accountable.
The writer’s attempt to paint Governor Uba Sani’s move as “vengeance” or “tranny” is a desperate attempt to deflect from the real issues. The truth is, Governor Uba Sani is taking a bold step towards accountability, and the writer’s feeble attempts to discredit him won’t work.
In conclusion, Tajudeen A Tijjani’s article is a disingenuous piece that seeks to confuse and mislead the public. We must reject such biased and misleading narratives and support Governor Uba Sani’s efforts towards transparency and accountability.
