AS-SALAAM PEACE Magazine is set to hold the second edition of its Honour Roll Ceremony on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Nigerian Society of Engineers Auditorium, Central Business District, Abuja. The event will begin at 1:30 p.m.

The 2025 edition, themed “Celebrating Intelligent Brains Under the Veils,” builds on the success of last year’s maiden ceremony, which honoured 22 first-class young female Muslim graduates for their academic excellence and commitment to Islamic values.

This year’s event will feature prominent personalities, led by Brigadier General Mohammed Buba Marwa (rtd), CON, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), who will serve as Special Guest of Honour.

Other dignitaries expected include Yusuf Adebayo Ibrahim, Deputy National President of ADS, who will chair the occasion; Ibrahim Mijinyawa, Executive Chairman/CEO of Sahad Stores, as Father of the Day; and Dr. Habiba Muda Lawal, OON, Gimbiyar Toro of Bauchi State, as Guest Speaker. The Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, will also attend as Special Guest of Honour (Female).

The event will be hosted by M. M. Aliyu, FNIQS, Grand Patron of PEACE Magazine, with Asiwaju Muibat F. Aribidesi, FNCS, Matron of the Magazine, serving as Hostess.

According to the editorial board, the Honour Roll Ceremony has become “a national platform of inspiration,” aimed at redefining the narrative of Muslim women in education and public life — from stereotypes to stories of strength, scholarship, and service.

The maiden edition, held in 2024, attracted dignitaries from across Nigeria’s academic, judicial, and religious circles, including Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, Professor Olayinka Ramota Karim, and Dr. Hajara Muhammad Tom, who was celebrated for earning 13 academic awards in Medicine from Ahmadu Bello University.

This year’s ceremony will feature a lecture segment titled “Faith, Education and Modern Identity,” designed to explore the intersection of intellect, spirituality, and contemporary life.

PEACE Magazine will also present the “Mukaramun” (Honourable Recipients) Awards, honouring individuals and institutions for their contributions to human and community development.

Among the awardees are:

  • Dr. Adamu Ahmed, Patron, Sa’in Jama’are Bauchi
  • Dr. Yusuf Adebayo Ibrahim, PhD, Patron
  • Oyinde Oluyemisi Nujidat Oshun, A Graceful Woman (Arwa Salam)
  • Rahmatu Musa Sani, Mother of Goodness (Ummu Soliha)
  • Dr. Mairo Usman Mandara (MBBS, FWACS, FFPH (UK), FOC), Bringer of Happiness (Jawaria Salam)
  • Crown Takaful Insurance Limited, Award of Excellence: “Everyone is Better Off”

The 2025 Honour Roll Ceremony is part of PEACE Magazine’s ongoing mission to empower Muslim women through storytelling, mentorship, and recognition of excellence.

With guests expected from foreign embassies, academia, business, and the Muslim community, this year’s event promises to be a celebration of grace, intellect, and purpose — showcasing women who embody both faith and progress.
