The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Shiroro Local Government Area, alongside ward chairmen, has paid a congratulatory visit to Prof. Muhammad Bashar Nuhu following his appointment as Executive Director of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC).

The delegation, led by the APC Shiroro LG Chairman, Mr. Peter Kaburu, visited Prof. Nuhu on Saturday at the BBF Centre, Bosso Road, Minna.

Speaking during the visit, Kaburu thanked God for the appointment, describing it as well deserved and a source of pride for Shiroro Local Government and Niger State. He said the appointment reflects effective representation of the area at the federal level and expressed confidence in Prof. Nuhu’s capacity to deliver.

Also speaking, the Assistant Youth Leader of the APC in Niger State, Suleiman Galkogo, applauded the appointment and highlighted Prof. Nuhu’s track record in public service. He recalled his tenure as Commissioner for Tertiary Education, noting that he strengthened the sector and facilitated appointments for several indigenes of Shiroro Local Government, which he said demonstrated his leadership capacity.

The delegation offered prayers for divine guidance, wisdom and success for Prof. Nuhu in his new role, expressing optimism that his appointment would attract meaningful development to Shiroro Local Government and Niger State.

In his response, Prof. Nuhu thanked the party leadership for the visit and their continued support. He assured them of his commitment to inclusive leadership and pledged to work closely with the party to ensure that the dividends of democracy reach the grassroots.

He described the APC as a critical pillar for electoral success and sustainable development, stressing the importance of unity and collaboration in delivering development outcomes.
