Ahead of the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly the race for the post of senate president has narrowed to three frontrunners among the contestants. They are Senators Osita Izunaso, Abdulkadir Yari and Godswill Akpabio.
Now that the presidential inauguration has come and gone by, attention has now been shifted to the National Assembly.
Senator Izunaso was adjudged to possess the requisite experience and political dexterity to steer the affairs of the Senate, unlike other contenders, Akpabio, Kalu and Yari, Sen. Osita Izunaso comes with a clean record, without any fraud or criminal awry attached to his name. He was xrayed as an urbane and gentlemanly political chess player who diligently does quietly more without noise making.
In an interview with a team of newspapers, a high ranking Senator of the South East extractions, Senator Osita Izunaso, speaks on issues of who becomes the President of the10th Senate. Excerpts:
