Sokoto govt redeploys 25 permanent secretaries [SEE LIST]

The Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, has approved the redeployment and posting of 25 Permanent Secretaries across various ministries and departments in the State Civil Service.

This major reshuffle, announced via a press release signed by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Abubakar Bawa, is aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and service delivery in the state.

According to the statement, the affected Permanent Secretaries have been directed to complete the handing and taking over process on or before May 6, 2025, and submit records to the Office of the Head of Civil Service.

Below is the full list of the newly assigned Permanent Secretaries and their portfolios:

  1. Lema Sambo Wali – Ministry of Justice
  2. Muhammad Bello Ibrahim – Ministry of Commerce
  3. Habibu Isa Waziri – Ministry of Environment
  4. Almustapha Abubakar Alkali – Ministry of Agriculture
  5. Abubakar S/Fada Tambuwal – Ministry of Skills Acquisition & Entrepreneurship
  6. Almustapha Yahaya – Ministry of Science & Technology
  7. Hadiza Galadima – Ministry of Youths and Sports
  8. Ni’ima Hassan – Ministry of Culture & Tourism
  9. Lawali Sada – Ministry of Social Welfare & Humanitarian Affairs
  10. Ibrahim Mohammed Kangiwa – Ministry of Works
  11. Bashiru Maigari – Ministry of Information and Orientation
  12. Usman Arzika Bodinga – Ministry of Home Affairs
  13. Ibrahim Haliru Dingyadi – Ministry of Health
  14. Sani Mohammed Tambuwal – Ministry of Finance
  15. Ahmed Abdulkadir Moh’d – Ministry for Local Government Affairs
  16. Ibrahim Isma’ila Binji – Ministry of Special Duties
  17. Abubakar Alhaji – Ministry of Women Affairs
  18. Ladan Aliyu Isa – Ministry of Solid Minerals
  19. Moh’d Yusuf Bello – Ministry of Transport
  20. Kabiru Garba – Ministry of Water Resources
  21. Sayudi Almustapha – Dept. of Security Services
  22. Aminu Bello – Dept. of Careers & Special Services
  23. Aminu Abubakar Rijia – Local Government Service Commission
  24. Sama’ila Shehu Wali – Establishment
  25. Sani Sada Isa – Admin. & General Services

This move is part of the administration’s continued effort to reposition the civil service for optimal performance and delivery of good governance to the people of Sokoto State.
