Dear Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, I write with immense respect and deep appreciation for your outstanding leadership and visionary governance since assuming office. Your swift and strategic appointments, infrastructural strides, and policy-driven reforms have not only positioned Kaduna as a beacon of progress but also reflected your commitment to inclusive development.

One of the most commendable steps you’ve taken is appointing seasoned professionals to key positions—ensuring that competence, experience, and dedication drive public service delivery. Your recent appointment of Alhaji Ahmed Maiyaki as Commissioner for Information is a prime example. As a respected journalist and authority in developmental communication, his return to public service has already begun to inspire confidence in Kaduna’s media and communication landscape. We are confident that under his leadership, your administration’s efforts will be more visible and impactful, as the machinery for robust storytelling about government achievements is finally taking shape.

That said, Your Excellency, as we look forward to a revitalized and responsive Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC), we humbly and passionately appeal to you to consider Hajia Farida Abubakar for appointment as the next Managing Director of KSMC.

Hajia Farida’s journey in journalism and public communication began at KSMC, giving her an intimate understanding of its structure, challenges, and potential. Her rise from reporter to leadership within the same institution is a testament to her resilience, professionalism, and growth. As Executive Director of KSMC—an appointment graciously made by you—she distinguished herself as a pivotal force behind the corporation’s internal reforms, improved staff welfare, and operational stability. Working hand-in-hand with the former MD, she contributed meaningfully to modernizing KSMC’s output and reconnecting the corporation with its public service mandate.

More importantly, Hajia Farida has consistently proven her loyalty, effectiveness, and strategic insight—most notably during the electioneering period when her contributions significantly supported your communications strategy and success. Her performance during that time earned widespread respect within the media community and among your supporters.

Hajia Farida is a bold, assertive, and competent leader. She has a unique ability to motivate teams, manage organizational transitions, and deliver tangible results. Her leadership style blends professionalism with empathy, always attentive to the needs of staff and dedicated to nurturing talent. She communicates effectively across all platforms, manages crises with composure, and leads with clarity of purpose.

Your Excellency, the media landscape is rapidly evolving, and KSMC requires leadership that combines institutional knowledge with modern media savvy. Hajia Farida brings both. She is the bridge between tradition and innovation, and her appointment would guarantee not only continuity but also transformation.

We strongly believe that under her leadership, KSMC will thrive as a modern, people-centered public broadcaster that aligns with your vision for a more transparent, accountable, and citizen-engaged Kaduna.

We thank you sincerely for your continued commitment to good governance and your attention to this earnest recommendation.

Respectfully,
Mustapha Saye

Farida Abubakar KSMC
