The newly appointed Executive Director of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Prof. Muhammad Bashar Nuhu Tachi, was on Sunday, August 31, 2025, warmly received by his community in Kuta, headquarters of Shiroro Local Government Area, Niger State.
The homecoming, which also featured a special prayer session, brought together elders, youth, religious leaders, family members, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate his elevation and to pray for Allah’s guidance as he takes on his new national assignment.
In his remarks, Prof. Nuhu expressed gratitude to his people for their support and prayers, assuring them of his commitment to deliver on his responsibilities.
“This homecoming is not just a celebration of my appointment, but a reminder of my roots and the responsibilities I owe to my people and the North Central region at large. I remain committed to serving with integrity, dedication, and fairness,” he said.
As part of the day’s activities, the new NCDC boss paid courtesy visits to traditional and religious leaders, including the Hakimin Kuta, the Dakacin Kuta, and the Chief Imam of Kuta, where prayers were offered for his success and for peace in the community.
Prof. Nuhu also visited ailing elders to encourage them and prayed for their recovery, while extending condolences to the family of the former Director of Administration of Shiroro Local Government, who recently lost his wife.
Residents of Kuta and Shiroro at large described his appointment as a source of pride and hope for the community, pledging their continued prayers and support for him as he assumes leadership at the commission.
