The Middle Belt Journalists Forum (MBJF) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of its Board of Trustees Chairman and former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Solomon Ewuga.
Ewuga, who also served as Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory during the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, in Abuja.
In a statement signed by MBJF National President Mark Mayah and National Secretary, Ladi Emmanuel, the forum described the late Ewuga as “a patriot and statesman whose legacy of service and sacrifice endures.”
“Duty, honour, and a deep commitment to the unity and progress of our nation defined his life. He stood firm through the most turbulent times, leading with quiet strength, profound integrity, and an unshakable belief in Nigeria’s potential,” the statement read.
The forum noted that throughout his public career as Deputy Governor, Senator, and Minister, Ewuga championed discipline in governance and consistently placed national interest above personal gains.
While extending condolences to his wife, children, the Ewuga family, the Eggon Nation, as well as the government and people of Nasarawa State, MBJF prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul.
“We honour his service. We reflect on his legacy. And we pray for the peaceful repose of his soul,” the forum added.
