Jigawa govt inaugurates committee for National Orphans Qur’anic Recitation Competition

The Jigawa State Government has inaugurated the Organizing Committee for the National Orphans Qur’anic Recitation Competition, scheduled to take place from August 2nd to 12th, 2024. This move underscores the government’s commitment to successfully hosting the third edition of the annual event.

The inauguration was led by the Executive Secretary of the State Bureau of Education, Dr. Mubarak Abdulwahab Hassan, who represented the Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi. Dr. Hassan charged the committee members to perform their duties with the highest standards of integrity and efficiency.

The Governor emphasized that the members were selected based on their experience, honesty, and hard work. He assured them that the state government would provide all necessary logistics to facilitate the successful execution of their responsibilities.

Speaking on behalf of the National Aytam Global Charity Care Foundation, the National Vice Chairman, Nura Alkali Talatar-Mafara, expressed gratitude to the Jigawa State Government for hosting the competition.

He congratulated the committee members and urged them to pay special attention to the competition venue, as well as the accommodation and feeding of participants to ensure a smooth event.

The fourteen-member committee is chaired by Dr. Kadi Bala Musa Kazaure, with Muhammad Bn. Abdulhamid serving as Secretary General. Other members include Dr. Mubarak Abdulwahab Hassan, Dr. Salisu Ismail, Shitu Ibrahim Doko, Sani Maje Saleh, Ahmad Saleh Birniwa, Jibril Umar Zakar, Rabi’u Muhammad, T. Abdulwahab, Zainab Shuaibu Rabo, and Hauwa Garba.

The third edition of the annual National Competition, tagged “Jigawa 2024,” is expected to attract participants from across the country.
