A former Commissioner for Tertiary Education in Niger State and Executive Director, Finance, at the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Prof. Bashar Nuhu Tachi, has congratulated Governor Umar Mohammed Bago on the occasion of Niger State’s 50th anniversary.
Prof. Tachi also extended his felicitations to the Deputy Governor, Yakubu Garba, and the entire people of Niger State, describing the golden jubilee as a historic milestone worthy of gratitude and reflection.
In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Special Duties, Yahuza Isah Erena, and made available to THESTORIES on Tuesday, Prof. Tachi expressed profound gratitude to Allah for granting the state and its people the grace to witness 50 years of existence. He prayed for sustained peace, unity, and enduring prosperity for Niger State.
He commended Governor Bago for what he described as giant strides and remarkable achievements in the transformation of the state across critical sectors, noting that the pace, scale, and visibility of development under the current administration are unprecedented in the state’s history.
Prof. Tachi further prayed that Allah grant the Governor greater wisdom, focus, strength, and determination to sustain the developmental momentum and successfully deliver on his vision of a “New Niger.”
He called on all citizens and stakeholders to rally behind the Governor, support his development agenda, and remain committed to building a greater, better, and more prosperous Niger State.
