Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has appointed Dr Nath Yaduma as his Special Assistant, Liaison. Abubakar, in a statement by his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, on Wednesday in Abuja, said the appointment takes immediate effect. Yaduma, who hails from Adamawa State, until his recent appointment, has been a long standing aide of Atiku. He has also served in various capacities, including Special Adviser on Special Duties in the Obasanjo administration. He is a graduate of the Institute of Insurance, Kent, London, and City College, New York.

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared N736.782 billion to the three tiers of government as Federation Allocation for the month of October. This is contained in a statement issued by Mr Phil Abiamuwe-Mowete, Director (Information/Press), Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning on Wednesday. The N736.782 billion is inclusive of Gross Statutory Revenue, Value Added Tax (VAT), Exchange Gain and augmentation from non-oil revenue. The Federal Government received N293.955 billion, the states received N239.512 billion, and the LGCs got N177.086 billion. Speaking at the inauguration of the new banknotes which preceded the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday in Abuja, Buhari explained in detail the basis for his approval to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to redesign the ₦200, ₦500 and ₦1000 banknotes. The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, has commenced the disbursement of N20,000 cash grants to 3,415 vulnerable groups (GVG) in Kogi state. The Minister, Sadiya Farouq, who inaugurated the disbursement on Tuesday in Lokoja, said other beneficiaries under the National Social Investment Programmes (NSIP) would also get their various packages. Ademola Adeleke’s Form CF 001 used in the 2018 governorship election. The tribunal had earlier granted subpoena application to the petitioners, compelling the REC to produce Adeleke’s Form CF 001.
