The Attah and Paramount Ruler of Aiyede Kingdom in Ekiti State, Oba AbdulMumini Adebayo Orisagbemi, Arojojoye Abolokefa IV, has congratulated Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his emergence as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oyo State.
In a statement issued on Thursday, August 21, 2025, the Attah described the approval of Oba Ladoja’s nomination by Governor Seyi Makinde as a commendable decision that reflects the former governor’s dedication to the service of his people.
Highlighting the historical ties between Aiyede and Ibadan, Oba Orisagbemi recalled the exploits of his ancestor, Esubiyi, an Ibadan war general who later settled in Aiyede. “His legacy as a warrior evolved into one of royalty, and his memory continues to resonate with us. This shared history unites us in Ekiti with the admirable people of Ibadanland, and we are committed to strengthening this bond for the mutual benefit of both kingdoms,” the monarch said.
The Attah prayed for Oba Ladoja’s long and prosperous reign, marked by peace, unity, and progress, while also commending Governor Makinde for upholding tradition and supporting the will of the people through his endorsement of the new Olubadan.
