Natasha Osawaru, deputy majority leader of the Edo State House of Assembly and fiancée of singer Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia, has updated her Instagram name to “Honourable Natasha Idibia.”

A check on her Instagram page by QED.ng on Sunday confirmed the name change.

The update follows her engagement to 2Baba. A video from February 13, 2025, captured the moment the music icon proposed to Natasha in the presence of friends, and she happily accepted.

This development comes after 2Baba announced his separation from his wife, actress Annie Idibia, in January 2025.

Last week, Annie reverted to her maiden name, Annie Macaulay, in a post on Instagram. She also shared a gratitude post acknowledging the support of her family and friends.

Born on November 14, 1994, Osawaru is the daughter of Desmond and Philomina Osawaru and the granddaughter of businessman and philanthropist Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion.

She holds a law degree from Igbinedion University and a master’s degree in Film Production from Full Sail University in Florida.
