Ahead of the Sallah celebration, journalist Aminu Alhussaini Amanawa distributed clothing materials to over twenty orphans, vulnerable individuals, and less privileged people in Amanawa, Dange-Shuni Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

The distribution was part of his commitment to giving back to the community which played a vital role in his upbringing.

Flagging off the distribution, Aminu Alhussaini Amanawa explained that the gesture was aimed at ensuring the beneficiaries experience the joy of Sallah, just like their peers who have parents.

“These children have lost their parents. Therefore, we find it necessary and very important to support them, so they can also feel involved,” he said.

Amanawa emphasized the importance of clothing as a basic human need and noted that providing these materials to vulnerable children would help them celebrate the festive season with dignity.

“We want them to look good during the festive period,” he added.

In his remarks, the Special Adviser to the Sokoto State Governor on Industrial Development, Abubakar Buda Amanawa, praised Aminu Alhussaini’s efforts to bring joy to the lives of orphans and the less privileged. He encouraged other well-to-do individuals and organizations to emulate the kind gesture.

“This is a welcome development by someone who grew up in this community and has shown concern for the well-being of the less privileged. Indeed, your gesture is special,” said Abubakar Buda Amanawa.

He further urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the donated items and continue to pray for the initiator, the community, the local government, and Sokoto State.

Community representatives, including Ibrahim Bakanike Amanawa and Ibrahim Dan Teke, also expressed their appreciation for Aminu Alhussaini’s generosity and called on wealthy individuals to follow his example.

Some beneficiaries, including Hussaini Bala and Sani Hamisu, expressed gratitude and assured them they would use the clothing materials responsibly.
