The Center for Innovative and Pragmatic Development Initiative (CIPDI) proudly joins the global community in celebrating the International Day of the Girl. This annual observance, recognized on October 11, highlights the unique challenges faced by girls worldwide and advocates for their rights, education, and empowerment.

“At CIPDI, we are committed to promoting gender equality and ensuring that every girl has the opportunity to reach her full potential. On this special day, we renew our pledge to work towards creating a world where girls have equal access to education, healthcare, and opportunities for leadership and economic participation,” CIPDI president, Ifeanyi Nwanoro said in a statement.

This year’s theme, “Invest in Girls’ Rights: Our Leadership, Our Well-being,” emphasizes the importance of providing girls with the tools and resources they need to thrive.

CIPDI expressed its commitment continued advocacy efforts, supporting local initiatives, and engaging with communities to empower girls through skill development, mentorship, and awareness programs.

“As we celebrate the incredible achievements of girls and young women, CIPDI also recognizes the work that still needs to be done. From addressing issues of child marriage, gender-based violence, and limited access to education, we stand firm in our resolve to create a safer and more equitable world for girls.

“Together with our partners, supporters, and community members, CIPDI is dedicated to ensuring that girls’ voices are heard, their rights are respected, and their futures are bright. On this International Day of the Girl, let us all unite in the shared mission to empower the next generation of female leaders and changemakers”, Nwanoro further stated.
