The National Association of Nigerian Students in Europe (NANAE) has lauded the Registrar General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Garba Abubakar for his leadership dynamism and operational innovations at the commission.

The Association president, Bashiru Sai’du Muhammad made the commendation in a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday.

According to him, the innovations by Abubakar at the commission have, among others, tackled delay in registration of companies as well as other areas of its operations.

“The leadership dynamism of the Registrar General, Garba Abubakar at the CAC has enhanced the ease of doing business in Nigeria. The appointment of a software vendor in 2014 to develop an end-to-end solution for companies to use without coming to CAC is a welcome development.

“For the first in the history of the commission, companies can file documents or accounts, access their filed documents, conduct searches and authenticate documents.

“The planned introduction of an authentication card into the commission’s system is another innovation that will enhance the operations of the CAC,” Muhammadu said, adding that the proposed new checklist which will align with the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA), will be a good thing to happen to the commission under the leadership of the present Registrar General,” the association’s president said.
